William James Ellis

William James Ellis was last seen when he walked away from Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan on November 21st, 2017.


Will was being treated at Wyandotte Hospital after suffering from hypothermia and left without being evaluated by a doctor. Will had not been discharged and was wearing a hospital gown, a gray t-shirt, blue hospital pants and blue socks.


William is a white male, 5’9”-5’10”, and 100-120 pounds. He has brown, shaggy, short hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing one grey t-shirt, blue linen hospital pants, blue linen hospital gown, hospital socks of an unknown color, and a hospital identification bracelet.




The following possessions were not left behind, nor were they found at his residence and are believed to be with William: a black down winter-type jacket, a yellow parka, a pair of blue jeans of unknown brand, a pair of hiking shoes of unknown color and brand, and one backpack of unknown color and brand.



Will has not been seen back at his apartment and his friends have not seen or spoken to him since he disappeared



In June of 2019, someone came forward and said that they believe that they saw Will with a few other guys at a bonfire behind Waterfront Mary’s in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The group of men were talking about how they were living off grid in the woods. The man believed to be Will said that “he had no name.” The man had a long beard and long hair, was missing teeth, was very skinny and had on cargo shorts and a tie-dye t-shirt.


Will is considered to be a free spirited person who follows a vegan diet. He may frequent natural food stores. Prior to Will's disappearance he had been talking about traveling to Hawaii.


William was 25 years old when he went missing. He would be 29 years old today.
