Awareness in Action
Every photo tells a story of connection, remembrance, and hope. From awareness events to private retreats, these moments reflect the heart of our mission: giving a voice to the missing and supporting the families who continue to search.
Annual Missing Persons
Awareness Event
Every April, we host a community event in honor of Wisconsin’s Missing Persons and to recognize Missing Persons Awareness Month.
This gathering brings together families, advocates, and local organizations to raise awareness, provide education, and offer support to those impacted by a missing loved one.
Attendees hear from families of the missing, see the faces of Wisconsin’s missing persons, and meet with search and rescue teams and groups who assist in locating the missing.
Join us to connect, remember, and Stand Up for the Missing.
April Missing Persons
Billboard Campaign
Our largest program is our April Billboard Campaign, a powerful initiative to raise awareness for those missing in Wisconsin.
In 2019, we partnered with Lamar Advertising to display 11 billboards across the state, each featuring the names of 25 missing persons every week throughout the month of April.
Placing Pinwheels
In March 2018 Pinwheels were put into place at the FVTC Public Safety Training Center to bring attention to every reported missing person in WI
Lights of Hope
Lights of Hope is an event where anyone, anywhere can participate in bringing HOPE to families of the Missing.
We asked everyone to make luminaries in honor of The Missing, in honor of a Missing Person, or to write words of encouragement and support for the families of the Missing.
