Leya Marie Stewart

Leya Marie Stewart was last seen in New Lisbon, Wisconsin on July 4th, 2023.

Leya is a white woman, 5’2”, and 143 pounds. She has long, brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a piercing in her right ear, an unknown tattoo on her right shoulder, and an unknown tattoo on her right thigh. She also has a back tattoo with flowers and two names. She was last seen wearing black shorts, a dark colored tank top, and no shoes.

Leya was last seen on foot around 2 pm on 43rd Street near 19th Avenue in Lemonweir Township in Juneau County, Wisconsin.

Law Enforcement indicated that Leya left her cell phone, shoes, and cigarettes at a friend’s residence and may have been under the influence of a controlled substance.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statewide missing persons alert due to lack of information in Leya’s case. Drone and ground searches have been conducted with no results. She has not contacted her family, friends, or three children since her disappearance.

Shortly after her disappearance, the friend whose house she had last been seen at, dropped off her shoes, phone and cigarettes at her parents’ home. The man told Leya's mother that they had a fight and that he kicked her out. He later said that she had left the house on her own and that he had not kicked her out.

According to her family, Leya is very close with her sisters, her mom and her children. She would never go a day without having contact with her children or her mom. They feel it is unlikely that she would intentionally stay away from home and the fact that no one has heard from her has them deeply concerned. They believe that something happened to her in the area of her friend’s house and they suspect that Leya is still somewhere in the neighborhood, but they don't believe that she is alive.

Law Enforcement is asking people in the area to check their property and report anything to the sheriff’s office.

Leya is 43 years old.
