Cindy L Jones

Cindy Jones was last seen by a neighbor on June 29th, 1984 in Wausau, Wisconsin. She was involved with a violent domestic abuse incident with her husband, Norman Jones.

Cindy is a white woman, 5’0”-5’2”, and 95-115 pounds. She has blond/strawberry hair and blue eyes. It is not known what she was last wearing.

Cindy’s neighbor indicated that Cindy was bruised, bloody, and screaming for help from inside her home. Her neighbor called the police and when they arrived at the household, Norman told them that Cindy left the home out the back door. The police believed Norman and did not check the residence for Cindy. Cindy left behind three children and has never been heard from again.

Later, Norman confessed to a girlfriend that he’d beaten and strangled Cindy. He said that he buried her in a gravel pit owned by his employer, American Asphalt Company, in either Park Falls or Medford, Wisconsin.

Norman was arrested and charged with Cindy’s murder in February 1985, but the charge was dismissed as authorities were unable to locate Cindy’s body.

When Norman was released, he left the state. He strangled a girlfriend in Florida in April 1990. It is presumed that she was preparing toto leave Norman before her murder, just like Cindy had done in 1984. In September of 1990, police were preparing to arrest Norman for this crime, he took his own life in Fort Worth, Texas.

Norman is still the prime suspect in Cindy’s disappearance. Cindy has 3 children and remains missing.

Cindy was 27 years old when she went missing. She would be 65 years old today.
