Update: Avril Duenas-Juarez

UPDATE (June 2026): Avril has been located and is safe. Her father, Jose De Jesus Duenas-Quinonez, was arrested in Mexico and extradited back to Dane County, where he is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the death of Avril's mother. For full details, visit WKOW.

Avril Duenas-Juarez was last seen in Madison, Wisconsin on April 24th, 2023. 

Avril is a Hispanic girl, 4’0”, and 50 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. It is not known what she was last seen wearing.

Jose Dejesus Duenas-Quinonez fled to Mexico with Avril. There is concern for her safety. 

Avril was 6 years old when she disappeared. She would now be 7 years old. 

Jose is now 39 years old.
