Sophia Martha Franklin was last seen in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on February 2nd, 2025.
The first image was released with the current active Amber Alert for Sophia and the two additional images are more recent photos. There is currently an active AMBER ALERT in Wisconsin, Arkansas and Missouri.
Her family shared information about Sophia saying that is wearing glasses, has been dealing with hives on her arms, legs, and even face, and her eye makes an involuntary movement when she chews. She does not look pregnant right now and has been struggling with morning sickness. She has also been wearing a rose gold ring with a pink, heart-shaped gem on her left hand.
Sophia was allegedly abducted by Gary Day on February 2nd, 2025. A felony warrant for Kidnapping was issued for Gary on February 4th, 2025. They may be traveling in a black 2014 Buick LaCrosse with Arkansas license plates BBR 20L or Pennsylvania license plates KGW5186. This vehicle would be similar to the image below. Sophia may be in need of medical attention. Sophia is 3 months pregnant and Gary is known to be the father. She currently has a no-contact order against Gary and he is charged with child enticement and abduction. The photo below is of Gary.
Gary is described as a white male, with blonde hair, green eyes and is 5 feet 7 inches tall and around 165 pounds.
Sophia was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam on the evening of Sunday, February 2nd. Early on Monday, February 3rd, Gary was seen walking near her home on surveillance footage.
Sophia and Gary initially began communicating online last April through multiple devices. In late July, Gary picked up Sophia and by August 1st, both were in Arkansas. When Law Enforcement did a probation check on Gary in December, they found Sophia at his home. Sophia told police they intended to get married. Law Enforcement returned Sophia to her home in Wisconsin. Gary was charged with interference with child custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. While Sophia did return home after this incident, Sophia's father reported her missing again after camera footage captured her getting into a vehicle with a person believed to be Gary Day.
Law Enforcement has filed four felony charges against Gary Day as well as issued an arrest warrant.
Sophia’s family has not seen or heard from her since. Her family has asked anyone who has information to get her back to contact Law Enforcement. The Amber Alert for Sophia is still currently active.
Sophia is 16 years old.
Law Enforcement is asking anyone with possible sightings to please take a photo, if safe to do so, and submit that photo to them with your tip.
